A Tribute to the Teachers Who Lift Us

Teacher’s Month is one of the most meaningful celebrations we have in school. It’s that time when we pause, reflect, and honor the people who’ve helped shape us—not just as students, but as individuals. This year’s theme, “My Teacher, My be more fitting. It reminds me of all the teachers who’ve guided us with patience, wisdom, and heart. And this year, we made sure to show them how much they mean to us.

One of the most special moments was when we surprised our adviser, Ma’am Remedios Martinez. She’s been more than just a teacher—she’s been our second mom in school. Whether we’re stressed, confused, or just having a rough day, she’s always there with a kind word or a gentle reminder to keep going. During our surprise, we gave her flowers and a heartfelt message, and seeing her smile made all the effort worth it. That photo of us as a class with her says it all—love, respect, and gratitude.

We also surprised Ma’am Regina Llagas, our research teacher. Research wasn’t easy, but Ma’am Llagas made it feel possible. She guided us through every step, even when we felt lost in deadlines and revisions. Her patience and encouragement helped us believe in ourselves. That moment we shared with her, captured in our photo, was our way of saying thank you for never giving up on us.

Of course, we couldn’t forget Ma’am Evelyn Amoyo Reyes, our ICT teacher. She’s the one who helped us understand the digital world—from coding to presentations. Even when we struggled, she stayed calm and made sure we learned.

To wrap up the celebration, I joined the English Club and affiliates in a school-wide parade, proudly carrying our ARCO design made especially for our beloved teachers. It was colorful, joyful, and full of heart. That final group photo is a memory I’ll always treasure—a symbol of how much we appreciate everything our teachers do.

Teachers don’t just teach—they inspire, guide, and believe in us even when we don’t believe in ourselves. This Teacher’s Month, we didn’t just say thank you—we showed it. And we’ll keep carrying their lessons with us, wherever we go.
